Prices and FAQs
Where can I see more of your wedding photography?
The best place is on the blog where I share wedding day stories and photofilms plus little bits a bobs to show how I go about creating your wedding day story. This is my new website so I’m in the process of gradually selecting and transferring 6 years worth of these! I do also am to post new ones each month to keep it up to date. If you like what you see and want to see more drop me a line, I likely have it.
Looks like our ideal fit; so how much is it?
Typical wedding day storytelling photography in the UK is 8-9 hours. This is a complete package of all the essentials and you can add an album and more time if required; the night-time party makes for some great fun photos! Prices start at £1650 to tell the story of your day from bridal preparation to first dance, or however you choose to use the time.
Shorter midweek weddings and elopements are priced at £499 for around 3 hours. This is inclusive of your gallery of edited photographs and lots more See the Wedding Photography Prices page for more details.
Our wedding is a bit different, can you help us?
YES! Love new creative ideas and a break from tradition. Since every wedding is different let me know your plans for the day and we can work out what’s best for you. Is your wedding very soon, unique or perhaps an elopement? I may also have short term availability and can provide you with an offer to suit your wedding day. I do still have some availability for 2020 and 2021 so don’t be afraid to enquire with your last minute wedding photography enquiry.
What does the price include?
Full wedding day photography includes everything you are likely to need and maybe some things you haven’t considered yet!
– Planning sessions to help you get the best from your day
– Photographer [me!] from prep to party (around 9 hours)
– Your wedding day story as photographs (~500); each one professionally edited
– A stylish online gallery to share with family and friends
– Download of high resolution images for the bride and groom
– An organised yet relaxed wedding expert you can really trust in to be there on your big day [that’s me again!]
I also have options to provide coverage for both shorter and longer days and of course there is a range of albums so you can build a truly bespoke wedding photography package to suit your needs.
What is your style?
You have come a step too fair already but I like the excitement! I like to tell the story of your day with natural candid photography of all the best moments; the tears, laughter, love that come together to form a complete story of your wedding day. To read more about my style pop back to this section.
As well as all the natural moments do you do couple and group portraits too?
Yes indeed! And to keep the story flowing I create natural couple portraits without heavy posing or staging, but in a style that is truly you. We can do the groups (no doubt the mum’s want these!) but we won’t spend a lot of time on it, I’d rather you and your guests enjoy the wedding as those moments create even better photographs.
We aren’t used to being photographed, what do we do?
That’s great! Almost all of my couples feel the same at the start and all go away feeling happy. I just want people to be themselves, their most happy and comfortable selves. This will bring you the photos you love. I’m a laid back person which will help you to relax and enjoy the moment too, If needed I can help with gentle direction rather than posing. And that’s pretty much it! It’s also a nice little break for you two and while it is unrushed we’ll do it all in as little time as possible, 20-30mins at most; I’d much rather you get to enjoy your wedding to the full.
What weddings do you do?
Anything from an elopement to a stately home, or a registry office wedding to a big destination wedding overseas. I’ve loved festival style weddings, home garden weddings, manor houses, forests, beaches, vineyards, castles, pubs, theatres… and yours, hopefully! Contact me with details, I’d love to hear about the plans for your wedding day, no matter how small or big, it’s the story that counts.
Where in the world are you and how far will you travel?
I’m based in Hampshire on the south coast and work all over the UK, and now Europe too. Travel is usually included unless it is such a distance that requires me to stay overnight. That is something we can work out when we go through your plans.
Is this your full time-business?
Yes! Photography is my full-time business and has been for 7 years now. I am fully insured, as required, and I have a contract with the wedding couple to protect us both. It is all quite simple and, as past clients will testify, reassuring to know you are in safe, professional hands. I can guide you through all of this when we first meet.
What about albums; can we have one?
Yes! It is up to you whether you want one or not and so there is a range of sizes, colours and materials for you to choose from. I’ve also sought out the best albums possible too. They look and feel great (just like your wedding day!).
Do we have to buy prints from you?
You do not. The bride and groom can download their photographs and the online gallery has a brilliant feature where you and your guests can order the best quality prints directly (means you don’t get the hassle from your guests, they can order themselves!). Should you order from the gallery I have chosen only the very best photo labs ensuring you get the best quality prints.
