Laura and David's wedding ceremony was at St Lukes Church in Milland , West Sussex. St Luke's Church has been in use since 1880 and is known as "the Church in the Woods", so very apt and pretty with new spring blooms and for the beautiful newly married couple. Their Wedding reception was held at Southdowns Manor, Trotton, nr Petersfield; A previous manor house hotel which is now a pure wedding venue, purpose made for events and guests to stay the night.
For their wedding weekend spring showed us all it could deliver. We had rain, wind, hail snow and sunshine. But Most of all we had many amazing moments as you are about to find out! The light always shone on Laura and David for their wedding day, the weather doing the right thing at the right times with just about everyone staying dry. Laura's bridal preparation was at her parents house with family and all very good fun. BMW's were of course the choice of cars between venues because David works for Vines BMW.
The service at the church was very warm thanks to Rev Trish Bancroft. Perhaps it was her work that sent the rain clouds away and brought the sun out for the newly weds to celebrate with guests and confetti before moving on to South Downs Manor. Following a drinks reception they had very memorable reception with many great moments (amazing speeches!) but it is the performance that Laura and David put on for their first dance that no one will forget. And that cake, a great contrast and to their elegance yet still amazing and certainly raised a lot of smiles!
Enjoy this brief visual story Laura and David's wedding day for which there are many more great moments recorded for their personal gallery and beautiful album to follow. I'd like to thank Laura and David for choosing me to photograph their wedding day story and wish them unbound happiness and love in their new life together.
Things to look out for in the photos...
- Laura's amazing elaborate hair featuring something old, borrowed and blue. "it was my mums locket brought in Switzerland when she was taken there on holiday by my Aunt Anne when she was a girl".
- Excited bridesmaids rocking their photo shoot! (they were shy for the camera for all of about 5 seconds!)
- The moment that shows David's thoughts as he waits at the front of the church, and then his reaction when he hears the church doors open for his bride.
- Laura's proud Dad escorting her up the aisle
- Laura's sister Kate laughing when she should be singing! (haha, sorry Kate, Couldn't resist, thanks for all the help on the day!)
- THAT CAKE!
- The effects of Pavlova on bridesmaids and page boy; energy!
...actually I need to stop, so many great moments at Laura and David's wedding that you can see for yourself here and there are so many more in their personal gallery too.
